Paderne is located 19 minutes’ drive from Albufeira, and 27 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Gale, 31 minutes to Faro Airport. The village is a good size with reputable restaurants, cafes, bars, small supermarkets, an organic fruit and vegetable shop, post office, bank, health centre, church, and a large open air market once a month – all within easy walking distance. It is a hub for the surrounding
areas, as many religious and cultural festivals throughout the year are held in the village. Paderne is also the starting point for a number of hikes in the surrounding countryside all clearly signposted. There is a castle, a windmill, an Art Gallery, and a couple of small museums, all of which make Paderne a wonderful place to live.
