Peaceful 2,000m2 plot of rustic land, in a secluded valley, 2km from the village of Souto in the municipality of Abrantes in central Portugal.

There is a legal, registered stone barn here with 14m2, rainwater catchment system linked to two 1000L IBC tanks, year-round stream that flows into the Castelo do Bode dam which provides great swimming opportunities at the local river beaches such as Aldeia Do Mato and Fontes, as well as supplying Lisbon with its drinking water.

The land is comprised of approximately 1,000m2 of flat arable land bordering the stream, it then rises into approximately 1,000m2 of beautiful stone walled terraces with a nice view at the top.

There is also an ancient stone irrigation system that I haven’t quite worked out. The vegetation includes cork oak, pine, some young eucalyptus, figs, young olives, and some mature grape vines.

Good access via 3 different entry routes, the last 1,500 meters being comprised of dirt track. 20 minutes’ drive from Abrantes with all the facilities needed such as supermarkets, banks, hospital etc. 30 minutes drive from Tomar, 60 minutes from Castelo Branco, and 90 minutes drive from Lisbon.

Bought in 2021 when I was planning to move to Portugal. Now staying in the UK due to my job.
