The property is reached via a gravel road which to the best of our knowledge is soon to be surfaced with tarmac, the drive from this access road is owned by the property owner.

The property is located in a very peaceful valley between hills in the area of the Dornes. There are only two other properties in this valley, the beautiful river Zezere can be accessed within walking distance. The property is also within walking distance of the picturesque medieval hamlet called Beco.

The main house can be entered via the kitchen or entrance hallway which leads to 1 bedroom on the ground floor and has a staircase to the 1st floor double bedroom. On the ground floor from the hallway, you can also access the bathroom and the kitchen with open-plan dining.

On the 1st floor from the double bedroom, you can directly access the lounge which leads to the alfresco balcony with views.

The guest accommodation renovation is practically finished apart from installing a kitchenette if required.

There’s an old stone wood-fired oven on the outside.

The house is surrounded by numerous natural hiking trailss with great scenery provided by the mountains and forest land of Central Portugal, the river is only a 2.5km walk and Beco the main town is also at 1.9km walking distance.

Dornes is a picturesque templars-founded village on the peninsula on the

River Zezere, where there’s a marina and in the summer you can hire kayaks etc. Around this area, there are typical villages, mills, panoramic views, Roman ruins, monuments, river beaches etc.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO-listed Convento do Cristo, founded by the Templars is only a 25 to 30-minute drive from the property.

Nazare the beautiful coastal beach and giant wave riding surf meca is easily accessed in approximately an hour by car via the IC9.

All major European high street shopping is available in the city of Coimbra the 3rd biggest city in Portugal which is only 45 minutes drive on the A13 motorway.

Porto and Lisbon airports are at a similar distance from the property, Porto is approximately a 2-hour drive and Lisbon is approximately 1.30 hours by car.
