This lovely property, covering an area of 5,860m2 is situated close to the historic village of Monsanto.

It boasts magnificent views of the castle in Monsanto and the surrounding areas and has a small stream bordering one side of the property giving year round water. The access is excellent, via a tarmac road and electricity, if needed, is around 150m away.

On the property there are three constructions. The first one, all in granite stone, has a covered area of 45m2 and comprises of a living kitchen with an open fire plus two more smaller rooms. The second building, constructed in breezeblock, covers an area of 50m2 and houses a tank for pressing grapes to make your own wine plus storage. The 3rd building of 45m2 is one division for use as needed. All the properties are well maintained with good roofs. There is also an antique pigsty made with large granite blocks.

There is a covered well, in excellent condition, which gives an ample supply of year round water. (It uses the Persian wheel system,) Traditionally the water was raised by a donkey walking round the perimeter. Also there are two water tanks used for irrigation.

The land itself is ripe for cultivation and boasts 30 centenarian olive trees in production plus 14 younger olive trees. This gives a yield of around 100 litres of top quality olive oil per year. Also a well looked after vineyard with 220 vines which gives an annual yield of between 600/700 litres of wine. There are a variety of fruit trees including peach, pear, apple, persimmon and fig plus hazelnut and a walnut tree. Also a medronho (strawberry) tree, wonderful for making liquor.
