If you are looking for a cosy “get away from it all” property, where you are surrounded by nature, this might be the perfect retreat.

This rural property is located near a village, and has amazing views of forested hillsides. There is a valley below where a small stream runs.

The house is arranged over 2 levels, most of the walls are made of the local Schist stone, which gives the place a warm, natural feeling. There are two log burning stoves which add to this ambience.

Outside there is a veranda which gives beautiful views. Here you can find a BBQ for outside dining.

There is one bedroom, although there are areas that can be used for sleeping. The kitchen has a range of wooden cupboards, and a granite worktop.

The bathroom has a bath, WC, washbasin, and connection for a washing machine.

The lounge has two windows which overlooks the trees.

Wooden stairs lead to the attic, which can be used as storage.

Outside there is a good sized shed, and a large water container connected to the roof for rainwater collection.

There are currently 2 solar panels and a charge controller for electricity, a borehole has recently been drilled and needs a pump connecting to it.

The property would benefit from having a more comprehensive solar system.

There are some ruins close to the property, the access to it is via a rural road.

The property is close to the Rio Mondego, and the lake resort of Sehora da Ribeira. Tabua is 7km away, the Tabua area has a vibrant multi-cultural community, there are regular Artisanal markets for buying local produce and artwork. It is the perfect location to explore the Beira region, with its many river beaches, and lakes. In Tabua you can find a cinema, swimming pool, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, cafes, schools and a health center.  Tabua has great access to the IC6 and N17, so the city of Coimbra is only 55km, Viseu is 51km away.

Located in Tabua, Coimbra
