Meet Antonio Trindade
Antonio is co-founder of Quinta das Relvas, a non-profit NGO dedicated to educational activities in Arts and Sustainability. As part of a multidisciplinary team, he uses his quinta as a laboratory to collaboratively develop, share and promote educational experiences through artistic residencies, workshops, conferences, trainings, internships, volunteering programs and international exchanges.
From Antonio’s own experience and knowledge, he offers a consultancy service to individuals and organisations to support them with grant writing to raise funds for their own cultural and sustainable activities.
The goal for Antonio is to create a greater ripple to what Quinta das Relvas already does, by empowering others to also create educational experiences to drive regenerative activities. His belief is through social participation, collective creativity and critical thinking we can create a more sustainable and resilient future.
Funding applications are in connection with the Erasmus programme and follow the below process:
Phase 1: Generating the Funding
- Creating an association (NGO) that can receive funds
- Vision creation: fitting the criteria that the funding process requires
- Understanding the Erasmus youth exchange process, accessing funds in February and October
- Explanation of the Erasmus youth exchange (up to 30 people)
- Proposal and grant writing
- Funding application process
- Funding approval, move to next phase
Phase 2: Activity creation
- Prepare activity/event
- Structure and key targets
- Hosting the activity/event
- Review – what worked/ what did not work
- Metrics to deliver: evaluation. testimonials. social media, film
- Next round funding

Phase 3: Becoming self-sufficient at grant writing and funding applications
- Develop next round funding
- Progress from Antonio doing it for you, to Antonio supporting you doing it yourself, finally you doing it on your own
- Understanding the ongoing fundraising journey and partnering with other organisations
- Joining the network of other NGO’s, National Agency, European Solidarity Corps, Creative Europe, Horizon Life etc.
Costs:
- Initial fee for upfront work, with an additional fee upon securing the funding
